Black bar down screen left side 12 inches in from left

The LCD wafer has gone bad, and more lines will begin to appear over time. It can be replaced but the cost may be comparable to replacing the entire television.

You have a gumed up basting device, You can try to fix yourself but should be taken to a bernina teck for a fix. Take the end cap/head cap/ side panel/ needle bar panel off. It is one screw on the left side.
Remove neddle
Find the needle bar
On the needle bar there is a black small pice, it is round and has a little tab that stitcks off it.
Pull the needle down and push/pull/wiglle soft on the small black tab.
There is a small pin inside that should clip into a hole in the needle bar.
This should get your machine sewing again but the basting device realy should be cleaned and adjusted, should be around $45-100.

I really do not know there is the "Stuck Pixel Fixer programs" I think that Program Breakdown another IC. For this issue is absolutely the Plasma display panel have problem. You shall exchange it.

There is no invertor board on a plasma tv. The fault is the X address buffer board. This is located on the bottom of the screen and runs horizontally the whole width of the screen. If you remove the heatsink plate that covers the x address boards and you need to look at the screen ribbon at the same position as where the bar is (in the middle).Vary gently lift the Xbuffer ribbon lock and gently take out the ribbon.Clean the contacts very carefully with a fibre pen or an electrical cleaning fluid.Insert ribbon back and heatsink and check.Here is a picture of the board and ribbon


a 1 inch bar is associates with 1 ribbon fault. So if the bar was 3 inches in from the left of the screen, the faulty ribbon will be 3 inches in from the right working from behind the TV. If cleaning dont cure the fault, then the Buffer IC will be blown and order a new centre buffer board (you can buy off Ebay)

Horizontal centering is performed in the service menu. Beware! You can mess up a lot of stuff in this menu.

It sounds like an Intergrated Circuit (IC) has fried.
Your best bet in this situation is to contact ur tv service operator and let them recommend an authorized service center in your area....

you have a blown circuit on the motherboard of your tv. the only way to fix this is to send it to the manufacturer (hopefully you sent in the warranty). or take it to a tv repair shop.

I am afraid your screen is on its way out.The black bar is caused by the lcd circuit failing.on that side.

My Hitachi TV Flat screen 42 EDT 4 1A has a one inch black line from the top to the bottom of the
screen on the left side. What or how do I fix it. I did blow it out with a air compressor as suggested by a local repairman.

Try to replace the Logic board first to see it is fixed or not.
