Hello,
You can play them on your computer's DVD player, and connect the output signal to a television.
But before you can see the signal your must change the regional setting of your DVD palyer. Right now, it is set on Region 1. To play the DVDs for another region, you must configure your player by changing the region from CANADA/US to the region of origin of the DVDS.

BUT BEWARE!!! You can change the DVD region no more than 5 times (It may be 4) After the last allowed change, the DVD will be stuck in that last region changed to and will no longer accept further modification.

I will know tell how to change DVD region. If you want to do that, it will be your responsibility.

Click My Computer icon
Point and right click the drive (DVD)
Click Properties
Under harware tab, select your drive (DVD) and press the button Properties.
Clich the TAB DVD region and follow the instructions.

Enjoy your movies.

Hope it helps.

Region-free DVD players are sold through various venues.Try playing it in a computer DVD player/burner. Some burners are region-free. Some software can copy your purchased disks, removing the region code in the process.

How do I unlock my blaupunkt tv/dvd combo for multi region dvd's

When a DVD disc is created, it is encoded with a "Region number." The disc will only play on DVD players with the same Region number - for instance, a Region 3 disc won't play on a Region 1 player.
Region 1: U.S. and U.S. Territories, Canada
Region 2: Japan, Western Europe, Middle East, South Africa
Region 3: South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Southeast and East Asia Region 4: New Zealand, Australia, Pacific Islands, Mexico, Central/
South America
Region 5: Russia and the former Soviet Union, Africa, Indian
subcontinent, North Korea Region 6: China
The only way to get around the region codes, is to rip a DVD to your computer and remove the region code. Then burn the DVD to a DVD R. There are programs around on the net, but I'm not sure it is legal in all countries.
Google for the programs.
A DVD player sometimes allows you to change the region code once. But it not even would allow you to switch back after you changed it once.

I have just bought a Toshiba SD590EKB dvd player and it will not play certain discs, it keeps on saying wrong regional code. How can I solve this problem?

Check the back of the dvd player and it will have a small sticker with a small picture of a globe (or earth) and it will have a number being one through to six, this will determine what region discs you can play in you machine. Ill list the regions and their codes, i hope this helps.

Region 1 - The U.S., U.S. territories and Canada.

Region 2 - Europe*, Japan, Middle East, Egypt, South Africa, Greenland.

Region 3 - Taiwan, Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong .

Region 4 - Mexico, South America, Central America, Australia, New Zealand, Pacific. Islands, Caribbean

Region 5 - Russia (former USSR), Eastern Europe, India, most of Africa, North Korea, Mongolia

Region 6 - China

Good luck.
