Hi
if you finding it complicated you can follow the procedure--

DVD player.Get a component video cable. This cable has 3 sets of connectors, one each for the red, blue and green color signals.
Match the connectors to the appropriate video output jacks on the
Component video outputs will normally be labeled Cr/
Cb/Cy. The Cy output jack is matched to green, Cr to red and Cb to blue.

Protron and Spectroniq are the same company. I just visited the Protron web site "www.protronusa.com" it is dead and it has not been updated since 2007. I believe the company is no longer in business and will doubt if you will find a Protron Service Center. If and when needed,You are very lucky to find a repair shop that will attempt to work on the DVD , most will not. The internet is plagued with issues with protron products .

Your illustration is too complicated for my situation. I don't have a cable box or a switch box or a VCR. Just the DVD player and TV. Can you address this? Mark
My TV is a APEX model # PF2720. Mark
Your new solution looks just like the first. I only have the Protron model PD007 and the AMPEX model # PF2720, nothing else. Mark
The diagrams you show me are not like the connection ports on the back of either of my equiptment. They are too simple. There are 7 jacks on the back of the DVD, and 15 jacks on the back of the TV. If I had the colored jacks you show I would be an idiot not to be able to hook it up myself. What I have confuses me be cause the jacks, especially on the TV are very poorly indicated. Please continue to help me please. Mark
I don't understand, your second e-mail solution is just like the first. Perhaps we should communicate by phone so we could get on the same track. My number is 513 221 1217. Please respond. Mark
