I have an ASKO T781 Dryer that suddenly will not power up. Any ideas? Someone told me to pull the fuse panel? I do not have the manual available. Any ideas or what tool to use to pull the fuse panel. Also, is this panel and fuses located on the front of the unit?

Now how was that helpful anyway? 2 different dryers, no answer, just a statement. Any idea what IQ stands for?

I just had this same problem, The fuses were not attached to anything. I stumbled upon a black button, that looks sort of like a gromet. Push that, it's a reset button. If it clicks, there you go. It could mean something else is wrong, but that should be a starting place.

Look from the left as you face the dryer. At the rear, look for the bulge where the drum is. Towards the top of it, you will find what looks like a black grommet. Press that - there is a switch inside it.

It will have tripped off because of a heat build-up. Go through the whole dryer & remove ALL of the lint and fluff from wherever you can find it, specially at the bottom of the front, where the door opens. You may also need to clean out the condenser at the bottom right corner of the front. This is a very messy job & you will need lots of towels to catch the water. While you have the front cover off, also remove the cover to the fan on the left & clean the crud out of there too.

The display doesn't work

Asko are not very common in many areas and so not many people can mentally remember what this model looks like.
However, if the display doesn't not work: Try unplugging it for five minutes or just removing the power for that time. See if it resets.

Not sure what 'does not work' means...no light, no response to touch..respond but does not start..???
Give more info if you seriously nee people who are not at the machine to help you.

Asko dryers

Akso makes "condensing" dryers (Models T721 and T781) that condense the moisture wich then is directed to a drain. The T701 is a vented style dryer so I'm a little confused.

Disabled neighbor was given an ASKO T780 dryer, but it doesn't heat up. What could the problem be so I might be able to fix it for him?

most likely if the dryer does everything except heat up the heating element is bad if you take it apart it will be directly behind the holes inside the dryer

Asko T781 dryer trips on over temperature

The problem is probably that it is much lint in the fan, and/or in the back of the drum, so the air is unable to cirkulate fast enough. OR it can be that you are overfilling it with laundry.

Asko T781 Electric Dryer Doesn't Turn On

Have you reset the cut out on the back? its a little black button that you push in until it clicks. If it does not click, then it probably wasnt the problem. The next most likely cause is a melted fuse holder inside the box on the rear where the power cord goes in. There is a bypass kit available to repair this problem from ASKO, as the fuses are not needed. If you are able to do some simple wiring, you can do this. Otherwise find an AUTHORIZED asko servicer and they will know what I'm talking about. Good luck!
