If it isn't making any move to retract the tray it's probably the trip switch. If you look in the back and follow the mechanics under the tone arm you'll see how it closes a switch as the arm goes to the centre of the record. Clean the switch or adjust it.

If it is half returning the tray it is the tray stack all gummed up. Use Servisol Silicon spray or have it rebuilt by someone who knows how.

Wurlitzer 1015 78's record tray returning without the record

It's possible that there is an issue with the mechanism that controls the return of the record tray. There could be an adjustment needed or something broken or misaligned.
Here are a few things you can try:
  1. Check for any obvious signs of damage or wear on the record tray mechanism. Look for any broken or bent parts, or any parts that seem loose or out of place.
  2. Check the alignment of the record tray. Make sure it is sitting level in the player and that it is not hitting anything on its way back down.
  3. Check the settings on the player. Some Wurlitzer models have adjustable settings that control the return of the record tray. Make sure these are set correctly.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be necessary to take the player to a professional repair technician. They can diagnose the problem more accurately and make any necessary repairs.

How to stop a Wurlitzer 2900 from playing the same record over and over?

The Wurlitzer 2900 is a jukebox that plays 45 RPM records. To stop it from playing the same record over and over, you can try the following steps:
  1. Locate the jukebox's control panel: The control panel should have buttons that allow you to select and play records, as well as buttons to control the volume and lighting.
  2. Press the stop button: The stop button will usually be labeled "Stop" or have a red triangle symbol. Pressing this button should stop the jukebox from playing the current record and return it to the selection mode.
  3. Change the record: Use the jukebox's control panel to select a different record to play.
  4. Adjust the play mode: The Wurlitzer 2900 may have a setting that determines how many times it will play a record before moving on to the next selection. You can check the jukebox's manual or settings menu to see if this is the case, and adjust it if necessary.
If these steps do not work, there may be a mechanical issue with the jukebox. In this case, it is recommended that you seek the assistance of a professional technician to diagnose and repair the problem.
