Wrong charger have i killed it or can it be fixed plz help

I pluged the wrong charger in to my archos av500 60G can anyone tell me if iv killed it for good or is ther away to relieve it its or if wost comes can i remove the haed drive ????????? plz help jk

I ordered the only charger Archos have for my Archos 605. The website listed the charger on the page for accessories for 605 but when it came it said its for the Generation 4 series. I plugged it in and not a lot happens. The green light shows as if it is charging but it isn't. Grrrr

Pluged in wrong charger won't come on or charge

Sorry to say, but by plugging in the wrong charger you may have overpowered your appliance. It sounds like you have rendered it non-usable. Since you don't mention exactly what it is that your appliance is (tablet, eReader) I cannot tell you just where to go to have it checked out. Call or visit the place where you bought it and ask them what you need to do to fix your problem.

Can't power on

that happened when i first got my mp4. i just left it on charge for a few hours and eventually it turned on. it should tell you when its fully charged.

theres two ways mine can turn on; (its most likely very different to yours though)
theres a little switch on the top of the player and you flick that to the left side. or if its been turned on recently, you can hold the play button. does the instructions say to press the ok button?

Go to eBay and search for your charger. Once you go to www.ebay.com type in Archos 101 Internet Tablet AC Adapter and hit the search button. They cost $8.76 and they are made for your tablet.

I just received my Archos 7. I pluged in the charger for the battery. It has been charging for hourse. still not fully charged. what is wrong? Also with the divice pluged in I cannot operate the icons....

Normally cant go over 18 hours if is longer than that take it to costumer service because is probably defective product.

Not swich off

Hold down the stop button for 15 seconds to try and force the unit to power off. Then leave it for a couple of days whilst the charge dissipates. Look at the charger you used and compare its output voltage to that of the Archos one. If the voltage is higher than the Archos one it is quite likely that the charge circuit and or the battery may have been adversely affected. If the unit still misbehaves after a few days changes are you will need to have it looked at. If it is in warranty, try a claim, but do not mention you used the wrong charger!
