You are going to need an original Mitsubishi remote--I do not think in the main menu there is a way to do this without the remote: PART NUMBER FOR THIS REMOTE IS: 290P111010
Almost any Mitsubishi remote that has the FORMAT button on it will work.
If this has helped you rate this solution as I do this here for free.
During a recent move the remote was lost. I have the 6420FF in my son's room and trying to set up dvd and wi console set up, but cannot adjust tv via menu button on tv. Is there any way to set-up game system and/or dvd without remote?
I assume you mean it is set to one of the composite video inputs, such as would receive video from a VCR or DVD player- from their video outputs.
Often, the channel up/down will move it to a channel. I suppose some sets are not this way however, and may even require the remote box. Functions are usually limited with only the buttons on the set itself (like most VCRs of the last 15 years or so). Advanced functions may not be available. Some of the better universal remotes might access these, otherwise the manufacturer remote is the way to fix the problem. Check http://mrremotecontrols.com, for a possible remote box.
the answer to your ques is. go buy a universal remote control. since your tv is made by thomson
electric. (ge@rca)you can prob get a rca universal remote at wallmart or walgreens. you won't need to reprogram. it everytime you change baterys. after you get set to turn on and off just hit tv/vcr button on remote or select channel 91 or 92 (on some models that is your video for rca/ge) good luck doctordave
