see if the fan on cpu is working make sure that the cpu has cooling grease. if the heatsink not big enought it will shut down just like that ok

Smell of burn when in use

1) LUBE THE DECK BELT INMEDIATELY , THIS HAPPEN BECAUSE THE LACK OF MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE SEE YOUR OWNER MANUAL.maybe you have some deck Worn.

2) LUBE THE ROLLER BEARING INMEDIATELY, LACK OF MAINTENANCE.

Please help treadmill keeps stopping when pressure is applied

LUBE THE DECK BELT INMEDIATELY, this produce enough friction for to shut down, may be the deck belt is worn.
2) Try to RUN inmediately the software calibration for diagnose, troubleshooting, and fix it.

angepor, Might need to visit YOUTUBE for video clips on how to refurbish the power supply / inverter board inside the 703b! Look for electrolytic filter capacitors with swollen tops on them. All should be flat!! Also note the name beand printed on the side of the capacitors and let me know with a reply to this response.

does it have a proper amount of battery charge? try removing the battery and plug the ac adapter and see if it turns on (without turning off) using only the ac adapter. else, there could be a hardware problem on your laptop

When you switch the monitors, do you still use the very same vga cable? If you don't, then it's time to change the monitor. When it turns on and off inmediately it means that it's receiving the signal, but that's it. If it's brand new, exchange it.

Since the D40X is an SLR, (single lens reflex), it is not possible to use the LCD monitor to frame your pictures before they are taken.

This would be due to a bad power supply board inside, replacing this will put you back into biz again around $50 for the part @ samsung.

Have seen it more than twice before. There is possibly some problem with the inverter board that provides the power for backlight lamp. the on and off feature is some sort of electronic fuse. Sorry, but I guess a certified technician is required for relevant repairs. also, parts are hard to obtain.
