I have a 2005 Toyota Corolla with a jammed 6-disc changer. The rest of the radio hardware works fine, but I can't seem to fix the CD changer. I would like to install an mp3 player plugin, so all I need to know is how to make the radio hardware think the CD changer is in place so I can activate the DISC button.

I had this say problem with my 2000 solara. Here is the fix, remove one of the car battery terminals for a couple of mins (3-4mins). The reattach the battery terminal back. This would make your cd player and car clock reset. once you start your car you should be able to eject the cds. You'll just need to reprogram all your preset radio station. Hope it helps
cd player will not play discs or recognize cd's
