I am trying to scan a picture onto my computer

1. Turn on your computer, wait for it to boot up, then turn on your printer.
2. Double click on the " HP Photo Imaging Director " icon on your desktop, it was placed there
when the printer was installed on your computer. A screen will appear which will show the
scanning options of your printer. Do not make a selection at this time.
3. Place your picture on the glass top scanning surface and lower the lid.
4. Click on " Scan Picture " from the director screen. The scanner will make one pass and allow
you to look at the result, it will then make another pass, completing your scanning operation.
5. Your picture can be viewed on HP Photo Gallery and " My Pictures " folder.
Have a Nice Day.

I HAVE A NEW COMPUTER AND I WANT TO SCAN A PICTURE BUT I CANT REMEBER HOW TO DO IT. WITH THE EPSON PRINTER

If you are using a computer with a Windows Operating System (XP, Vista, etc., ) I can help. Just follow these directions: (From beginning to end)

1) Make sure that the power to your scanner is On but do not plug your scanner into your computer until instructed to do so by the software.

2) Place the CD that came with your scanner into the CD drive of your computer. Install the software for your scanner and plug your scanner into your computer.

3) Re-boot your computer.

4) After re-boot, place a document you want to scan under the lid of your scanner.

5) Go to:
Start > All Programs > Accessories > Paint (and click on the Paint program.)

6) When Paint opens, go to the upper toolbar in the program and click on, 'File' then scroll down and click on, 'From Scanner or Camera.'
(a window will open)

7) Click on the icon for your scanner and then click, 'OK".
(a window will open)

8) Choose the type of document you wish to scan and click, 'Scan".

9) Note: Some scanners take a moment to 'warm up' before scanning. If your scan doesn't begin immediately, just be patient.)

10) Your document will be scanned and automatically imported into the Paint program.

11) When you can see the scanned document in Paint, (again) go to the upper toolbar and select, 'File' > scroll down and select, 'Save As' > (your Pictures Folder will open) > type in a name for your document > and click, 'Save'.

12) You can now exit the Paint program and go to your Pictures folder. There, click on your scanned document to view it.

If you found this information helpful, please give me a big thumbs-up when you rate my answer. Thanks!!

How to scan with mac

    1. Connect a compatible scanner to your computer. A list of compatible scanners is available in technical document 107203 "Mac OS X 10.2: Scanners Compatible With Image Capture "

    2. Install any necessary software drivers that came with the scanner.

Note: Not all scanners require the installation of additional software drivers.

    3. Turn on the scanner.

    4. Press the scan button on the scanner. See the documentation that came with the scanner for specific instructions. Image Capture opens automatically and a preview scan appears.

    5. Select the area of the image you want to scan.

    6. Click Options in the toolbar to adjust settings specific to your scanner.

Can I scan directly to my computer without having to scan via email with a Savin 3515MF machine?

If you are using XP, click on start, then go into control panel, then to scanners and cameras.
From there select your scanner and follow the directions for scanning.

With vista, click on the start button, then type in scan. There should be an option to "scan a document or picture"

Dell 964 scanner

First do your scan on Dell 964 scanner &printer. Scan to clipborad. You hear it scan but nothing happens on your computer. Go to control panel - scanners and cameras - scan profiles - find the document you have scanned, select it and click edit - click preview - in the left corner you will see in blue "How to scan a picture" click that, it will lead you to Windows Photo Gallery - there click on file and import from scanner of camera - it will scan there and your scanned pics will be in your picture folder :) Took me a while to figure it out :)
You can avoid all this and go directly to Windows Photo Gallery :)
