While on video mode press options and select settings. Scroll down to Video quality and change to High or Normal. On Memory in use, select memory card. The length of video recording is restricted by the available space on your memory card and up to one hour per clip.

Hi How do I increase the length of time taking a video.

The time limit is set because the image sensor in the camera heats up. You need to give it some time to cool between shots. The record time is set so permanent damage will not happen to the image sensor. Sorry. That time cannot be changed.

Total recording time window won't work

I had this same issue when trying to record direct to DVD with 2.5, and could not solve it. Then, I finally ran through the wizard, and it indicated the maximum length for each level of video quality (DVD HQ, DVD LP, DVD SP, etc) - something to the effect of "At this quality, your device can record XXX minutes of video".

Once I set it to a quality level that exceeded the length I needed, I was able to proceed without any problem.

Can not record dvd movie that is more than 103 minutes in length?

The solution is the quality settings on the DVD settings. On a 4.7Gb disk, 279 minutes at 24% quality, down to 70 minutes at best quality. Also, more will fit on the 8.5Gb DL disks. You can also use automatic quality, that will fit the video that you have compiled onto a disk, using the highest quality setting that will allow it to fit. An alternate method is to 'burn' to an image file on the HD, then use a program like 'DVDShrink' to fit on the disk.

I have a Dazzle DVD Recorder but don't know what to put in the "recording time" field. I want to record a full 120 minute VHS tape but won't let me enter 120.

It is becuase the dazzle device is not selected as your video source. Please try to go back to step number 1 then click the box says pinnacle file capture then select the dazzle then try it again. :-)

Video length

hi you may be able to indeed BUT it depends on how much Memory your phone has.. Often the manufacturers say that the phone can record for a certain amount of time.. BUT this is usually with the MAXIMUM amount of Memory that CAN BE installed. You may find that the amount your phone has is insufficient? Can you "Upgrade" your Memory in your phone? Thats all I can think of
