2nd gen ipod shuffle non-responsive

Step 1:
Like all electronic devices, iPods sometimes freeze and become unresponsive. Sometimes iPods lock up when they're dropped on the ground or come in contact with water, but less destructive accidents may also cause them to stop working. All versions of the iPod have a way to reset their hardware should they stop playing music or refuse to turn off.

Check the "Hold" switch on the top case of your iPod to be sure it isn't activated. An iPod will appear frozen and unresponsive if this feature is activated. A lock symbol will appear on your iPod's screen if it is in Hold mode. Switch the "Hold" button on and off once. Place one finger on the "Menu" button and another on the center button. Press both buttons at the same time and hold them for up to 8 seconds. Release the "Menu" and center buttons once the Apple logo appears on your iPod's screen. Try releasing the buttons and pressing and holding them a second time if the logo does not appear, as it can sometimes take several tries to reset a severely frozen iPod. Press and hold the top button and the center "Home" button on a frozen and unresponsive iPod touch to reset it. Hold the buttons for at least 10 seconds and wait for the Apple logo to appear on the screen, then release the buttons. Connect your iPod to its powerblock or a computer if it is still frozen. Wait 5 minutes and then try to reset it. Sometimes an iPod can appear frozen when its battery runs out and just needs a few minutes of power to start working again.

How do i download songs to my iPod model no.A1204 EMC no. 2125? and how to charge it?

As with all iPods, you must use Apple's iTunes application to sync your music with your iPod Shuffle.

You'll need to install the latest iTunes by downloading it from Apple click here> and then installing it. You install iTunes like any other downloaded program by double-clicking on the resulting icon after iTunes has successfully downloaded.
Follow the on-screen directions to install iTunes.
Once iTunes is installed, start up iTunes and have it search your computer for music for it to manage for you. While that is going on, plug the white USB cable that came with your iPod into your iPod Shuffle and into one of the USB ports on your computer. This will trigger iTunes to recognize your iPod Shuffle and ask you whether you want to set it up with this computer.

Follow the on-screen prompts to sync your iPod Shuffle with your computer.

To charge your iPod Shuffle, just keep it plugged in to your computer using the supplied white USB cable. Keep the cable connected until the battery indicator on the ipod Shuffle shows that the battery is full.

My iphone is not turning on. It is jail broken the problem is whenever the iphone goes off i have to jailbreak it each time. Now also i have dome the samething but its not working. Its not turning on.

Try to reboot the iPod, just in case it has crashed
  1. Hold the top button and the home button for about ten seconds.
  2. A bug can stop the screen from displaying, sometimes you can reverse the problem by doing the reboot. If you still see nothing on the screen, try to plug the iPhone in to the computer and try the reboot method again.
If you are still unsuccessful in turning on the iPod, but the iPod shows up in iTunes, try restoring from iTunes to fix any bugs causing the issue
  1. Plug the iPod in to your PC, go into iTunes and click the iPod's icon on the left side of the screen.
  2. In the iPod Summary Screen, click on the restore button and agree to the prompt asking if you really want to restore the iPhone's software.
If you are still unsuccessful in turning on the iPod, but the iPod doesn't show up in iTunes, try putting the iPod into recovery mode
  1. You can put the iPod into recovery mode if it has a charged battery.
  2. Start by holding down the home button before connecting it to iTunes, then continue to hold the button until iTunes recognizes that the iPod's in recovery mode.
  3. Recovery mode allows you to perform a restore when you're when an iPod fails to turn on or display anything on the screen.

IPod touch Digital Media Player: the screen is completly white and fozen will not p...

Try to reset it. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until either the Apple logo or battery symbol appears. If the battery symbol appears, continue to charge iPod touch until it is fully charged.

If this doesn't work, try restoring the iPod from within itunes.

Screen goes white, can't update itunes software to restore

Hi,

The white screen problem is a known problem to Apple and if you make an appointment
at your local apple store. They will more than likely replace it for no charge.

Don;t wait, call them, make an appointment at the genius bar and go in.

White scrren on ipod classic but works on itunes

Is your ipod still under warranty?
If so make an appointment at your closest Apple Store and they will replace the iPod for you at no charge.
If it is out of warranty, you may need to replace the LCD.
If you have dropped the ipod the LCD could be damaged and not be cracked.
Try restoring it in Itunes and see if that helps.
If not Replace the LCD and you should be fine.

If you bought the new 'super bright' lcd for ipods then this is the problem. The new 'super bright' lcds for sale on ebay are only for 6th gen ipods. Buy a 5th gen lcd and all problems will be solved.

Blank screen and beeps - won't charge

The beeps sadly mean you have a hardware issue with the unit. You can attempt to reset it while it is connected to a power source but my best solution would be to call apple since you are still under your one year warranty. Just if they ask about ANY kimd of accidental damage say no. It voids your warranty. Here is the number 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273)

WONT SYNC

Try using a different usb port on your computer. If that does not work, then try using a different cord just in case the other one has stopped working. If that still does not work, try using an updated itunes software because that ipod only works with the latest software. You can go here to download it: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If that still doesn't work, look at the ipod and see if when you plug it in to the computer, something comes onto the screen or it starts charging. If something comes on the screen, a new updated itunes should solve the problem. If nothing comes up on the screen, then you will need to get it checked and serviced in a shop.

Unresponsive ipod?

Reboot your IPod by holding down on the center button while pressing the menu button. The Apple logo will appear.

If it still continues, reload your IPod software from Itunes.
