Acer projector fitted a new lamp in my acer projector but it wont work

My Acer PD125projector was working perfectly but has been out of use for 6 months. When I connect it now, I get:- 1. "ACER - Empowering People" screen, then 2. After a short delay the message "The Lamp is approaching the end of its useful life at full power ........." is displayed for a short time, then 3. The initial screen returns, together with a "No Signal" message. After this warm up none of the controls on the actual machine nor the the remote controller, except for the power button, will do anything. What can I do about this?
