Residue left on dishes

Our dishwasher is 4 months old also and I have the same problem. Lots of dried bits (residue) left on the dishes. I checked the filter and it appears clean. I make sure to run the dishwasher before it is full so water has lots of room to splash around too.

    I use Jet dry and cascade gel... I have tried using more detergent thinking I wasn't adding enough.

Make sure you use a drying agent as well a good brand name dishwasher soap.

    Perhaps the water is not circulating inside during the wash & rinse cycles. Can you hear the water bein sprayed?

    If no then check the arms that turn inside and make sure they can turn/spin freely.

My best advise is to reduce the amount of detergent to the least amount that you can use, and still get the dishes clean. We do rinse the dishes a bit, as the soft food disposer isn't made to act like a garbage disposer, but rather, to catch incidental food residues. We no longer fill the closed detergent dispenser. We sprinkle about 1/2 of the normal amount (that goes in the open cup) on the inside door and close it up. Our dishes get very clean, with no residue. Also, use a good drying agent as this will help sheet the water off of the dishes. It may take several cycles to see improvements, but you should see improvements nonetheless.

Hi there......bit of a nuisance eh!....i take it that for the last couple of months the dishwasher was running perfectly....problem could b...(a) are u sure that the program your using incorporates a drying cycle...(b)..if the drying cycle incorporsates a turbo fan this fan may be faulty....easy to check as you will hear it start up at end of wash cycle....(c) after checking previous items and finding all ok ..it would oint to a faulty programmer

Look on YouTube. Type in dishwasher repair, and you will find a number of tutorials that you will find helpful. It sounds like your soft food disposer needs to be cleaned out. Below the screen in the bottom, there are lots of nooks and crannies that can trap residue and recirculate it.
