Under your control panel in "Display" go to the settings tab and slide the resolution bar to:

Screen resolution: 1024 x 768 pixels or more,
Color quality: Medium (16 bit) or more

That should do it.

I have a Canon PowerShot A2000IS camera and I moved some files to a different hard drive and now I am unable to download any photos. The CameraWindow DC gives me an error message that says

rerun your installation software to install to your new picture folder location. Be careful not to overwrite your original folder. I would rename the original to be safe. Good Luck!

Trying to install software for Canon Powershot A640 on a Acer Aspire One Netbook. Receive error message "The screen resolution to execute Digital Camera Solution Disk is not sufficient."

Skip the installing of any software, unless you like the Canon editing or viewing software, if that is on the cd.
Get a card reader for this machine, and skip any drivers whatsoever.
By using a card reader/writer it is not necessary to get any software or drivers on your machine from Canon. The card reader will read as another drive.

While trying to install Canon Camera software, I'm getting a message that says ''screen resolution to execute digital camera solution disk is not sufficient.

Select the "Start" menu in the lower left corner of your computer monitor screen. Select "Control Panel", then double-click on "Display".

Click on the upper "Settings" tab, then move the slider bar to the right, to at least 1024 x 768 pixel. Then hit Apply or OK. This will increase the screen resolution of your computer monitor so that it will be compatible with the Canon software.

Error Unable to start webcam(Philips SPC525NC Webcam)

Try disconnecting the camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work. Hope this helps. Bud

E18 ERROR - LENS ON MY CAMERA DOES NOT CLOSE

Hi

What you are seeing with the E:18 error message is a generic message that means there is some sort of problem with the lens, it could happen in many different ways such as sand or dirt in the lens gears.

A couple solutions would be to either buy a defective camera online and make one good camera from the two if you can do that sort of thing yourself, or secondly have it repaired by somebody.

Don't bother trying to send the camera to Canon if it is out or warranty (though you can call them and verify what I'm about to say) because they will want $150+ to do the repair for you. Parts are not cheap to buy from them.

I know of one very affordable digital camera repair business... because I own it. The name is Darntoothysam, feel free to check us out, we are on that big auction website also (I don't plug their name for free), our seller ID is 'darntoothysam'. If you Google "darntoothysam" you will find us.

We have your repair listed as a package in our store for about $70. This covers a new lens, and return shipping of your camera! We even give a 45 day warranty on parts and labor. If you think you can use us then please check us out, even if you need to ask more questions then please feel free to contact me.

Hope this helps,

Thomas

E 18 problem

the E18 means the lens system has a problem. I had it with my S2 and sometimes it worked, sometimes not. Eventually it stopped working. The only solution was sending it to repair, they changed the lens system.

Best Regards
