Is there any adjustment to the auto return function on a technics slb-10 turntable?

The monitor is bad.
It's all over the internet... It seems to be a lot (of production line) issue... I am in BRAZIL and I bought one that's behaving the exact same way.
Dozens of forums in Portuguese (our language here, ICYDN) relate the same problem... Also checked English and German... STAY AWAY FROM THE T220.

First off, Congratulations on such a excellent deal! That's a $500.00 turntable. I know I own a pair and I've been a DJ for 18 years.
Second, the Technics 1200 does not have an auto return. You have to pick up the needle and bring it back manually.

Hi, this problem is caused by the cut off switch not depressing far enough to turn unit off. To remedy you need to do as follows.
1. Disconnect from power supply.
2. remove platter.
3. Flip unit over to expose the underside and remove all screws.
4. Remove base board.
5. Look at the gearing beneath the tonearm and identify switch that tonearm depresses at the rest point.
6. Loosen switch retaining screw and turn switch toward centre of turntable slightly until it clicks or closes. Tighten screw to hold switch firmly in place at that point.7. Reassemble and test.
Good luck. John. [email protected].
