The basic cable running through the older tv's in the house is working, but if I replace an older tv with my westinghouse hd tv, only two channels work. Does is have to do with the signal type (analog? digital?) I have run the channel search, and also tried to change the input type.
SOURCE: I own a Westinghouse LTV-32W1
If you are trying to hook it up with cable make sure that the Tv is on cable mode. You will not need to scan for channels if you are using cable. If you scan for channels you are telling the Tv that you are going to use an antenna. Just put the TV on cable mode then close all windows and try to watch the TV. If that does not work that means that you will need a cable box. If you are using a cable box set the Tv to cable and turn the TV to channel 3 and you will use the cable box to change the channels.
Do you have the manual for this TV if not please let me know and I can get you one.
