Vivitar 3-in-1 mini digital camera

When purchased...it says that it is compatible with Windows XP. However, a warning popped up saying that it was not "digitally signed" ???? Needs "device driver" ???? HELP. Can I download the information to make the device run on my computer? Otherwise.....I'm gonna start screaming!!! What was the point of the purchase if I can't use it?????

The hardware should open as 'F' drive (removable) the install wizard tells you that this needs drivers?.....just ignore it. It is plug and play, the messages are a microsoft error. Just double click on 'f'' drive and you'll find the folder, try opening all of them.....your photo's will be in there.

The software you have should be fine.

The device driver still works with Windows XP. The only reason this comes up is because Vivitar didn't send the driver to Windows to be "signed off". Vivitar still did their tests and made sure it works. So you can pretty well ignore the warning.

If you say Yes, to continue, you can still use the camera, or can't you? Or, I guess you really don't have the drivers.

Visit this link and do the free registration and you can get the drivers. Enjoy your picture taking.

Vivitar mini digital camera

The software came with my camera, received as a Christmas gift (no doubt a "regift"). The drivers and software work fine on XP but as soon as you finally get to see a picture taken with that camera you will likely toss it out or "regift" it yourself.

It supersucks.

My new mini...

Hmm, there isn't a little viewing screen? Anyway, you can download the images to your computer and view them there. Either hook the camera up to your computer via the cable that came with it. Or, you'll need a card reader & take the card out and hook up the reader to the 'puter and insert card. If you're using Xp a image downloading wizard thingy will pop-up and walk you thru the process. If not, after hooking camera or card up to 'puter, click on "my computer" find your device and click on it to open & view photos there. And transfer images to your computer too.
