Starview4. i've done factory setting restored the data from memorystick back into the box and not receiving any pictures part from free channels. please help

If you are not hearing dialogue, then check your center speaker. Most voice tracks are routed to the center channel

There is no reset button. There is a Power Button that turns the netbook on or off. Exactly what is it that you are trying to do?

If you are talking about System Recovery where it sets your system back to when you first purchased it you can read the owner manual to see how to start it. System Recovery will delete everything you've done (all your documents, music, pictures, videos, programs) since you had the computer.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "ASUS Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Look on the site for Manuals and search them for System Recovery or Restore to Factory Settings.

Have you thought about trying to do a System Restore? System Restore allows you to select a Restore Point (date and time) before your system started having problems. It does not delete your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs (unless the program was installed after the restore point you selected). Click Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore to initiate the process. If you have Windows 7 click Start then in the search box type System Restore and look up and click it in the returned results.

Virgin has now switched to nagravision 3 encryption.
All eurovox/starview boxes can now only receive SOME free to air programs.
If you rescan, all the programs are picked up, but all the encrypted channels are blocked.
There is no fix yet, and there will probably be NO fix for your box, or any box without an ethernet connection.

ALL YOU CAN DO IS TO RE-SCAN.SOME OF THE CHANNELS HAVE GONE LIKE UK LIVING,HOME,CANT SEEM TO GET THEM BACK ON, HAVE TRIED A FEW TIMES TO RESCAN.

press menu, then goto the config icon on your tv screen, now goto clear data, enter your code to access this screen, now choose to go to the factory setting on the first frequency shown, ok it.
when this has been done, wait for your channels to have been scanned in and your tv to come back on again as normal, now press menu and select langauge, now press1968 and then make sure emaluation and EMM are enabled.

now press 1968 again and you will come up with your screen of the providers you use to get your channels, choose your provider from the list
now insert new key, for the provider enter these into your boxes as your new codes dont forghet to press save and exit on your remote the little blue button, now exit the menu and go back to your tv screen and you should have your channels back again.

Remember to go back to the factory setting first and clear the data on your boxes first, then rescan again and after you have saved the new settings then delete the old settings from your list of providers

restore to factory defaults and than delete all the data ( all the channels ) once done . run power scan and your box should be up and running again..... :)

Not sure about Starview4 but this might give U an idea Subject: Star View 3 The Box Super when channels discappear ;o) 1. Press menu then Factory Setting & Enter code 0000 to reset. 2. Exit to main menu & enter 1570 to get into the CASS SYSTEM & turn EMU on 3. Reinstall channels (Goto Installation, Cable network (try TW first & if no channels try NTL then C & W and so on - I'm with Virgin & used the setings for TW) & Voila ;o) Nb: You may have to redownload channels so reconnect yr box to the computer & follow the link below http://www.4shared.com/file/76886028/fd4ac296/GTRom_the_box_Super_8102e_081129.html?err=no-sess & press download !!!

press menu, 1570, look down the list under nagravision to make sure you EMU set to ON .? go back to nagravision and press ok . is the service provider in the ID tab ? if every thing is correct then put new codes in and it should work fine for you .

You need to Enable the Emulator as this is what clears scrambled channels. Main Menu -Factory Settings enter code 1570 which should give you a new CAS menu. Go down to EMU and switch it on with >vol key. Go up to Negravision and select your area providerer and press OK. Exit and scroll down to Default and hit OK. Will flash "Saving". Exit all the way out.
With certain channels when you first switch to them they may take a minute to upload data automatically.

If unsuccessful it is because the code above does not work on your Box. You will know straight away when you enter it if the CAS menu doesnt appear
