SanDisk Sansa m240 1.0 GB

My SanDisk Sansa m240 won't come on and when i put a new battery in it and it still won't come on and when i plug up my mp3 player to the computer it will come on but when i unplug it, it cuts of right after it is unpluged. What do i do?

i just took it apart and it was really dusty inside so i blew it out and put it back together and now it works just fine

Assuming the computer puts out enough juice, yes. Not all USB ports do.

Plug it in, and the Sansa should say "Charging" if it is charging. If it doesn't, try a different USB port if possible. If your computer has ports on the front/side and on the back, the back ones are more likely to put out sufficient power.

There is a trick to charging the battery in these small mp3 players. It wont charge if it is turned on, and it won't charges if it's turned off. Here what to do...
1. plug the payer into your USB port. or wall charger
2. switch thje palyer on using the mechanical switch (on the side)
3. turn it off by either holding down the play button, or selecting "System" from the menu
4. The screen will go black and the battery will begin charging.

My granddaughter threw away the instructions for her sandisk 2 gb mp3 player by sansa. It came with a usb plug, not a wall plug . I asume it has to charge on my computer but for how long?

charge it until the battery marker on the screen is full you should get up to 20 hrs. of battery life.

I have a sansa sandisk mp3 player. when i bought it it was working excellent.but all of a sudden it stopped working.this mp3 has no reset button i do not know how to fix the problem. sansa sandisk...

1. Are you able to turn it on ?
If so, press the the "power on" button the second time to activate the menu.
Still no luck ! Try putting in a new battery and try again.
2. You cannot "reset" anything.
3. Open up "windows explorer"
4. Scroll down the left pane of the window till you see the "sansa" removable disk
5. Right click it and select "format"
6. After formatting, try adding your files back again.
7. Use the >= button on the player tp play the songs.

My SanDisk Sansa 4.0 GB does not power on @ charge.

Make sure that your sansa lock switch is in the unlocked position.

SanDisk, 2 GB Sansa mp3 player won't charge

I was having the same problem with my Sansa e250. My wife has the e200, and we didn't have any problems with that. I saw that someone on here suggested to lock the mp3 player with the tiny metal switch on top, so I did, and the battery charging icon on the bottom of the screen came on and stayed on, and the mp3 player worked. thanks!
Because of this I would suggest checking to see if it's locked or unlocked and then change it to charge it.

hi ya, ok one of the solution is checking out the trouble of litium battery, i guess has been out of base, i had the same siptom with sansa e250r 2-g, put in right the battery. In back of sansa there are 4 screws that u have to loose it

what i would say to you bud is put ur sansa into recovery mode then download the recovery program off the internet that will reset it
