Access issue to my flash drive

Im trying to save my document ot my PNY flashdrive (attache') it telling me I do not have writer's access helpI tryied to also delete some files and it says access denied

    make sure that the flash drives read/write switch is set to read-only if the feature's on there. If not, try formatting the disk drive, otherwise it's a personal drive that's setup for the file/folder protection.

The drive is probably password protected by Securlock software.

You should first read the documentation to see exactly what the flashing read light means. It could mean that the drive is near full capacity. Try removing/transferring a few files to your hard drive to see if the flahing read stops. As long as it works ok, I wouldn't be too concerned.

Perhaps it has not been prepped, eg: not formated to use. Format it with fat32 file system using formatting software from the manufacturer. Also, make sure the movie file does not exceed 16 GB.

Will not allow me to access my flash drive
Windows XP, Vista , or Windows 7 should be able to automatically detect and install it. Try using it on another computer that has either Windows XP, Vista , or Windows 7 on it. If it doesn't automatically detect and install it on that one then the flashdrive is dead.

Create a new folder in the old computer , rename it ( " old computer documents " or whatever you wish ) and copy your selected files to it . Copy the completed folder to your flash drive . Disconnect the flashdrive and connect it to the new computer . Copy the content to the new computer . Copy of your documents are now saved on both the flash drive and the new computer . You are now 100 % safe . If necessary , the originals can be found back on the old computer .

The Pen drive might be Infected by viruses and hence they are limiting your access to the drive. Run an scan on the Pen drive and then try to open you should be able to access the files. If you don't have an anti virus program installed on the computer then i Would suggest you to install a free version of Kaspersky and run the scan and that should take care of the problem.

I have a 16G USB flashdrive. I'm trying to save files from a video surveillence DVR and it was working fine until now. I started getting an error message saying the drive is full. i deleted engough...
When the drive is plugged in, empty the recycle bin or trash can on the computer. It may still being seeing used space because the files are technically still there. they don't really go away till you empty that recycle bin.

I put the flashdrive into the port but I do not understand how to get the work onto the drive? It said that I connected it right but it did not show me how to copy or download work onto the flashdrive.
A flashdrive shows up in Windows as a new drive letter un Windows Explorer.
If you right click on My Computer (XP), Computer (Windows 7) you can select explore or open.
The dialog box that opens is split in half. the left side shows the "drives" and corresponding letters. Typically, you will have a Local C:\ for your Primary hard drive, CD Drive D:\ for a CD/DVD and the flash drive will show as Removable Drive E:.
To copy work to the new flash drive, you can select save as from your program and select the drive letter that you saw the removable drive named in Windows explorer.

You can also, from the folder named My Documents, copy the file by right clicking on it, then selecting the flash drive letter and pasting into the empty window associated with it on the right side of the divided Windows Explorer screen.
