Yesterday I dropped my Gateway laptop about 2 feet onto a hardwood floor, while it was on. When I first examined it, it apeared to be frozen. It then tried to reboot itself several times unsuccessfully. At this point it tells me that I should try to reboot in safe mode, when i accept this option it loads for several minutes and then flashed to a blue microsoft screen. Is there any hope for it to be fixed?
Hello! Try to boot your computer into your BIOS (usually by tapping F2 continually straight after the power button is tapped). and if you see (IDE change that to ACHI. Always hope, but not always funds! I suspect you have do have insurance right? You may be able to get the parts replaced under insurance. It could be a number of things and no one will know until its apart, thats 1 hour labour for a start.
It may be a cracked mother board a damaged video component... a plug jarred out of its socket and on and on .....
Yes it can be fixed. Before you send it off for a repair try this. unplug it and then remove the battery. Wait two full minutes and then put the battery back in and turn it on.............With some luck you may be back in operation, otherwise you will have to send it to gateway for a repair estimate.

You possibly cracked your screen or caused the ribbon cable to disconnect when you dropped it and just can't see what the error codes are saying. Is probably asking you if you'd like to start in safe mode with the beeps but you can't see it with a cracked screen or disconnected ribbon cable. Take it to a repair shop for a diagnosis.
First, you can get the exact visual design that you wanted
and it will cost you considerably less. Second, laminate flooring can be
installed above and below the grade unlike hardwood flooring. Moreover, the
laminate flooring is installed without using any nails or glue which make it
much easier to it yourself. Furthermore, laminate flooring is extremely
durable, easy to maintain and can be replaced easily.
you have probably damaged the screen itself, try using it connected to an external monitor, if you have a good picture then your screen needs replacing
