My name is Eric Henderson and I own a Linde 160 Autoweld mig weld

My name is Eric Henderson and I own a Linde 160 Autoweld system. The micro switch is faulty and I am replacing it. The flow of gas however does not always stop when I stop welding. How long should you hear it after you stop welding.?
My Email name is ericeva@hotmailcom Where could I buy a shop manual for this machine? Thanks Eric Henderson

I have a linde v160 Migmaster v160, which keeps blowing the fuse???

you need a multi meter to test it, does it blow the fuse the second its switched on or when you pull the trigger, it could be the small transformer that powers the pcb, gas solenoid ,fan contactor or at worst welding transformer

I have a power MIG 216 and when you set the wire speed and start welding it changes speed and is not consistent...I've watched the drive system while a friend welds and it stays consistent, just not at...

Potentially, I would tighten tension on the feed wheels slightly first and see if this improves it. Also blow out the cabinet on a periodic basis as debris can also build up in the knurlings of the feed wheels. If it does not, pull out the liner and check it for kinks or other damage.

My mig welder will not make an arc

There is a small chance the transformer burned out, but more likely the switch has dirty contacts or burned out. If you turn the switch through all heat positions 2 or 3 times before you start welding in the morning, it should remedy it in the future. In the short term, spray some contact cleaner (or even WD 40 in this rare instance) into the heat selector switch and rotate it through the ranges a number of times to remove corrosion from contacts.

Will the wire arc when dragged across the ground clamp? If not- there are internal fuses in the machine and they may be loose or blown. There should be one in series with the "hot side" (the gun) of the circuit and sometimes on the ground clamp side of the circuit.

There is a small chance the transformer burned out, but more likely the switch has severely corroded or dirty contacts or the switch burned out.

I have a Linde 160 MIG and it will not feed wire, seems to be motor not gun. . . Thanks

Just to make sure it is not the trigger switch, unplug the gun from the connector. With a clip try to bridge up the connector, if the motor does not turn then your gun trigger it's fine.

A new motor can be order it at any of your local welding stores. Try Praxair.

If this was useful to you please vote. thanks..

Have a linde hda 300 welding machine when in the tig mode with remote control foot pedal the current control goes from 0-100 no in between control

Your foot pedal should adjust the current, just like a sewing machine. If it is not working either the foot pedal is broken or your welder isn't compatible for the foot pedal. Some welders are only strike starting with no variable control amperage (usually your lower end models).
