Hello

The only wires that you should need to hook the dvd player upto the tv would be your component cables. (Yellow, Red, White Cables) Going from your dvd players component out, to your TV's component IN jacks. They should be labeled as such.

Where is the model number and where do I put it in online to get the correct service manual?

If it does not have a regular 3 line cable connector on back of tv screen you need to buy an adapter for it. I know most of the TV's I have including a older flat screen they have the HDMI connection or the 3 cable connection with yellow, white, red connections on back of tv for these older devices. Rich

No DVD will play and it's stuck on DVD. All I get is a black screen. It's a EVP-104D1 mounted DVD Player in my car.

I've seen that issue a few times. Honestly could be a few things. If that is a envoy, I have noticed quite a few wiring issues with them. Try cleaning the contacts, or check your connections on the ground wire. There should actually be two ground wires the primary and the secondary.

How to hook up my dvd player to the t.v.

Hello
You haven't given any specifications about your tV here. Anyway, you can hook up the DVD player to TV using an AV cable. The AV cable will have three cables together with two RCA connections at each end of each cable. Look at the colour of them. Usually one Red, one White and an other will be yellow. Just connect them to the sockets of both DVD and TV accordingily, and switch ON both devices, select the tV input to AV1 or AV2. If all the connections are correct, you will see the logo of Mitsubishi on TV screen. This is the picture of AV cable. OK.

I received a cobydvd224 as a gift but don't know how to connect to my cable box-pls help

There may be several ways, depends on your TV. Your TV may have: HDMI, Component, Standard Video, or RF in. You need to match one of those connections to the DVD players available connects. For example... if you have a newer HD TV your cable may be connected to the component input of the TV if there's an HDMI input on the TV and an HDMI output on the DVD Player, simply connect them together and put the TV in HDMI mode.

I know it's confusing sometimes, but read the book and you should be able to figure it out. Let me know if I can help more...

Dvd plays but no sound

There is a loose connection or a component (probably a capacitor) on its last legs. It will take a technician to locate the connector or component .

No sound

tcolson,

good day, make sure your RCA red and white marked cable connected to TV screen audio input where you also connect your yellow cable which is the video.

note: always remember color code of RCA cable

yellow = video
red and white = audio (left and right)

connection would always be:

video device yellow RCA socket = TV yellow "INPUT" socket
white and red RCA = TV white and red "INPUT "socket
make sure that all this 3 cable are connected together in a specific "A/V input"

cheers ,

CyberHome CH-LDV 700B Portable DVD Player

you've probably over extended the the flat wirecable that powers the screen inside the dvd player by opening the screen too far. Open the dvd player as if putting in a dvd, now look in the right hand upper corner and you'll see a white flat wire, this wire is probably your problem. open the dvd player and look at the connection, the wire should be crooked, push the wire into the connection securely and the screen should come on. check it out!!
