You may be able to find the PC Connect cable for your Sharp Camcorder Model VL-SD2OU at an electronics store or online retailer that specializes in video and camera equipment. You can also try contacting Sharp directly to see if they have the cable in stock or if they can suggest a retailer that carries it. Alternatively, you may be able to use a generic USB cable to connect your camcorder to your computer, depending on the capabilities of your camcorder and computer.
Keep in mind that you may need to install any necessary software or drivers on your computer before you will be able to access the video files on your camcorder
Hi there
Okay so I have carried out some research on the problem you are having.
The VL-DC5 does not have drivers online to download because the drivers in windows XP support this model camcorder The problem is that you are probably trying to connect the device to your computer using USB. The drivers in windows XP are only compatible with this camcorder when using Firewire cables. If you don't have a firewire cable then you will need to buy one and use this to connect your camcorder to your pc. It should work fine after you have tried this. Let me know how you get on!
You do not need the manual, you need the white DV cable that comes with the view cam. it connects into the DV port on the left side of the camera theto the "Y" port located next to the usb ports in the front of the hard drive. Turn the camera to VCR and XP will automatically open the CD wizard and follow the prompts. then use any burning device on your computer, mine is Media Center to make a DVD. Its easy for those challenged like myself!
You need to process it through a computer before itll transfer.
DVD is a digital format and needs to be converted. Use a video capture device on your PC and then use a video editer program (moviemaker, etc) to post-process and then burn to DVD.
can not download my movie from the camra to my PC
