DEAD K7S741mg mobo?

I have a K7S 741 MG series MOBO... It does not POST freezes immediately at the WINFAST screen...sometimes shows "no video input" as well...assuming the BIOS battery is good...does this mean the MOBO is Kaput. I do get power from PS.

All the voltages are ok..only 2 were off by .2
No swollen capaciters visible on Board..

Do you have a power supply tester? You need to make sure all the voltages are present. Also, are the tops of any any of the capacitors "swollen"?

1 possibility to check is if there are any bulging/leaking capacitors.
if that's the case, fixable by someone with soldering expertise and spare caps...

K7s741 mg no video output

Foxconn K7S741MG-6L Motherboard, 2004 new day1 relic?
is this true?, and yours or posted wrong model?.
NO VGA out? at mobo or the video card?
yes k7 , winfast board>?
answers,
SIS chips there are not supported, by (ALL)
No PCI-express slots at all , just AGP.(BAD)
1/2 of all AGP cards made will not work here, (dang)
no SATA ports, just relic IDE(PATA). sad max.

and the coin cell is dead at 10 year old now 2014
2014-2004=10 , spec is 7 year life so its dead and now BIOS goes MAD.(even igpu dead vga rear)

just found a raw mobo in a garage sale>??sure.
foxconn DIY sales, went dead 2012.

no video connected how , NOT TOLD , fail.

and now double dead, the mobo ended all support, gee how can they if SIS died. really/? nobody can !
and this too DEAD....

https://www.foxconnchannel.com/

buy a i3 mobo 2010 and newer
never buy into, SIS, VIA or Nforce ever.
it's junk mobo for only XP.

I will now tell this, horror, back in 2004 !

the VGA out is hard to get working on most then.
let me tell you why, (yes horrors of AGP)
1: 1/2 the AGP cards fail here unless from Foxconn.
2:the bios must be forced to the VGA you want to use and there are 3 choices then, igpu ,agp and pci slot.
one is the default and there was NO AUTO mode then.

best is to reset the MOBO using a new fresh coin cell RTC battery and then no APG card there at all.
and hope the igpu works.(mobo rear edge I/O plate VGA)

3: on some mobo (yes) I had to use very old PCI card, like this one for $10 used
ATI Radeon 9000 64MB PCI Video Graphics Card, With VGA, DVI & S-Video

this last trick if needed allows VGA bios to work
and then in the BIOS video page set it as you want
end legacy ,topic, PCI (non-express) video.

PCI old, is gone and forgotten now.

PCI-express modern/ 2003/4 up.but not yours.
avoid all AGP. the maker had a QVL on AGP that shows, only tiny list of allowed, and is max pain all that.
even bios updates that do not exist now..

Do i have to remove the onboard drivers when installing a PCI graphic card?

no need to remove your on board drivers. mobo automatically recognize the external graphics card.

I have a problem, winfast k7s drivers needed for win vista

This motherboard does support USB 2.0. Check to see if it shows in the control panel in Windows and reinstall if you find a red stop sign or yellow yield sign. If they do not show check the bios, found when you first start up the computer and make sure they are made active. If active but still not showing, check the cable from the motherboard to the back USB output plate. The manual can be found here for correct pin outs:

Mobo does not power up Dead cpu dead mobo?

A dead CPU will not hinder a board from powering up. The board is unlikely to POST. However, you should heard attempts at powering up and immediate shutdown. Or, you will see the PSU comes on but system not boot.

No mobo, but, CPU.

If no failed attempts at boot, no indicator lights, then you have either a failed power supply or DEAD motherboard.

Good luck

Slow startup

It is very rare that the MB will cause the computer to slow down that much. Please, give me a couple of days to think it out and then I will let you know. It seems to me that it could be an overload of the RAM memory, the power supply or the BIOS. Our company rules do not permit us to communicate with you unless you request it, so do as you like. We are ready to help you and we like it because you are quite literal on the subject.
