My Kenmore 44092 will not drain or spin. It

Eric, it sounds like there may be something stuck in your drain pump motor, or the drain pump motor itself is locked up. If the washer still has water in it, it should not spin.

Probably a capacitor problem, see Amazon.

The humming sound is coming from the drive motor running but unable to drive the agitator nor the basket to spin. The drive motor is definitely running as the drain function works because of the fact that drain pump is directly coupled with the rear spline of the motor. The drain pump works in either direction as long as the motor runs. The problem is obviously a broken motor coupler which transfers the mechanical energy of the motor to the transmission. the pump is plugged gain axcess to the pump and remove the restriction get your wet/dry vac remove the water in the tub and have handy also a small bucket to once you remove the cap to remove the object then it will go into spin

It turns out that there was a sock stuck within the pump in the washing machine. I removed the back cover and removed all the excess water, because once the sock was removed, the water was free to escape. I just removed the hose that connects to the pump and felt the sock, and was able to remove it. Once I hooked everything back up, the washing machine ran great.
