It sounds like your micro sd card is bad. Can you get a hold of anew one and test it out? If that works fine but your R4 still doesn't work then you might have a bad fake.
If you suspect that you have unstable fake clone version you can get a genuine card like the R4 SDHC there too. http://www.dscardworld.com I managed to find this site after I got burned at a few others. Loved having my emails responded to because I had loads of questions, and they were quick to ship it. They test each card before sending them. US based support and shipping I believe.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but: the answer is no. Let me explain. The software on the iphone clone is not the same as the software on the original iphone. The "fake" does not have the capacity to run original iphone programs. It would be like trying to put itune apps on a Blackberry, Motorola, or other cell phone that does not run Apple's iphone software.
As far as the 8GB issue, your phone is rated to accept up to an 8GB SD card in the expansion slot on the phone. The phone itself does not have 8GB of memory. You would have to purchase an 8GB micro SD card and insert it into the proper slot in the phone. Since you hate the phone, it may not be worth the expense, even though the expense is only between $10 and $20, depending on where you buy it.
Hope this helps. If it does, please leave feedback! That is the only way I know if I am being of assistance or just wasting my time.
had the same problem if you can get an r4 card you no works copy entire contents over to your card then delete ther games and add yours but keep there kernal . dont forget to format your card b4 copying ther card

Two possibilities. 1. The firmware on your PSP is too old to recognise the 8GB (only recognises up to 4GB). 2. If firmware is up to date you have a fake memory stick (easy way to check is to check the info for the memory stick on your PSP if its says that MAGIC GATE is unknown rather than supported then it is fake.
The fake ones typically double compress the data so that it appears to have 8GB when in reality it does not.
