Does your tstat have a C wire? If yes, take the batteries out and leave them out. The tstat will quickly learn it doesnt need batteries.

Hello, make sure that the connections are clean on either end of which your battery goes, also make sure that you have fresh batteries if you could check the voltage that would be nice and finally make sure that your batteries are in the right polarization If either one or all three of those suggestions do not work I would suggest replacing the whole unit. Good luck

SOURCE: Screen says bat low

Found the manual online and it said to put the batteries in backwards for at least 5 seconds to re-set the thermostat. Amazingly, this worked.

SOURCE: Canon Powershot A570 keeps showing change the batteries

I had the same problem. Here's the solution. Go into menu settings, then over to tools, select reset all at the bottom of options list. You may have to re-enter the date and time. This solved the low battery problem for me. I hope this helps.

Double check direction of batteries and test batteries to make sure they are good. If so, time for a new stat.

I just looked up this issue tonight. The batteries in my thermostat needed to be replaced, so I replaced them with two new double AA batteries and now all is well.
