Sound cracking and the red/green light flashing

A few days ago my TSS-1100 sub started making obnoxious cracking sounds and the red/green light would flash on and off quickly. I was still 3 months into warranty so I drove 40 miles to the Infinity Authorized Service Facility and they say it will be 3-4 weeks.

I was actually adding on to another poster. The unit is in the shop, so there is no question per se except what happened to the unit.

2500 power acoustic amp green light no sound to subs

There could be a few potential reasons why you are not getting any sound from your subs even though the green light on your Power Acoustic amp is on. Here are a few things you can check:
  1. Check your wiring: Make sure that all of your wiring connections are secure and that there are no loose or frayed wires. Check that you have connected the amp to the correct terminals on the subs and that the speaker wires are properly connected to the amp.
  2. Check your settings: Check the gain and crossover settings on the amp to make sure they are properly set. Ensure that the crossover is set to the correct frequency for your subs and that the gain is not turned down too low.
  3. Check your power source: Check your battery and alternator to make sure they are providing enough power to the amp. If they are not, you may need to upgrade your electrical system or add a capacitor to your system.
  4. Check for a blown fuse: Check the fuse on the amp to make sure it has not blown. If it has, replace it with a fuse of the same amperage.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to take your amp to a professional for repair or replacement.

I had nothing but problems with my plazma since I bought it. But a couple months ago there was too much red on the screen so I adjusted the red to almost 0 and it was OK not great picture. Then the other...

your main digital and sub digital have failed. incredibly expensive.
there is one attempt that you can make to try (by chance) to save it temporarily.
The digital and sub digital are the two boards in the center of the TV where the input jacks are located.
Carefully disassemble and remove the top layer board (sub digital)- it is connected to the board beneath (digital) by a multi pin connector about 2" in from the left hand side. This is where you problem is. Reseat that connector by removing the board then replacing it.

I have a SONY KF-WE50 rear projection tv, a few weeks ago it started to turn the pic and sound off while the green light was flashing around 30 times. After the light finished flashing both the picture and...

the green is the reboot process and is normal.
the red light is an error code indicator.
count the blinks of the red light...it cant be 30 times (I think)
it will blink a sequence, pause, then do it again for a total of three times.
count carefully, it gives you three chances to catch the number it is blinking.

No power through to sub, red light constant, green light flashing

Sounds like you've blown either the input or output stage on this. Just need to open it up and inject a signal to see which end is toast using a scope.

There are quite a few professional sound technicians about who do repairs, so try your local area to see if there is a local tech to fix it for you. Usually people who hire DJ's or fix their equipment do this day in-day out.
Try and get a "no fix-no fee" out of them (which is not unreasonable) - and leave your 'phone number on it (in pen). - sometimes they have so much stuff it's hard to remember who owns what.

Expect an hours labour plus parts - which are minimal.

Infinity tss-1100 sub problem

hey buddy, I have the same system, and although I haven't experienced it on this one, I had the Harman Kardon equivalent to the TSS-750, and the sub did this same thing. It was a loose RCA connection, and, as I was well outside of warranty, I took the amp out of the back and just re-soldered the connection myself. It now functions flawlessly for my bedroom setup. I hope you get it all worked out on your system! I can't imagine using this awesome system without its deep notes!

No sound

Willing to bet you've blown the amp, or fused the coil. I've had it happen twice, apparently when running off a power source that apparently couldn't handle the load. Hope it's under warranty - if so Loud Technologies (deals with all Mackies warranty stuff) should be able to replace the unit. Otherwise, you'll need to take it in to a service department and have it checked out.

Good luck, you'll have to arm wrestle with them to get them to replace it.
