hey that because the driver is only for let say xp os , all you have to do is to go to the asus website and download driver for windows 7.

this manual can be downloaded by intel website

You can download latest drivers for your motherboard here select -> motherboards -> socket 775 -> 865G/MF-SH -> sarch

Go To Gigabytes Website Support Sectiona and put your model number of your motherboard in and it brings up the drivers - find the right one , download and install! Easy!

If you dont know your model number , its printed on the board itself
or use software such as everest home edition (free) or belarc advisor (also free)

The fact that the driver is not being prompted or autoloaded by the OS tells me you might have to enter the BIOS and enable the sound features. Sometimes they are off by default. I would also look for an updated BIOS while I was at ASROCK the real maker of your board.

try this site

install mother board 865 in my pc.

change the sound card slot
re-install the drivers
restart the system
then you can get the sound
