My n96 is on a constant reboot from the startup screen, It shows the nokia logo, then the hand shake then it loads upto the welcome and set up then reboots over and over again.

reboot while holding the option key down. It should show you available hard drives from which you can startup. Choose the drive and then press return or enter. Then restart. If nothing happens, turn off the laptop and insert your Mac OS disk and then reboot while holding down the C key. The computer will load the system on the disc instead of your hard drive. Then instead of reinstalling the system software, look at the top menu and find the Disk Utilities program and run a repair on your hard drive. Then reboot without the disk in the drive.
