You need to make sure the usb hub is a powered one. If it a passive one it will not have enough power to charge the ipod.

Hi there! The Cardbus adapter should come with a cd installer/driver. The driver should be compatible with the operating system you're running on your com[puter.

Try to install the driver first adn then when prompted, insert the cardbus adapter.

Hope it works!

Need high speed usb driver

Unfortunately, being that you are using USB 1.1 ports, the high speed 2.0 devices cannot be used. They look the same, but are different hardwares. Even if you hook up a USB 2.0 hub to the USB 1.1 port, you are still stuck with USB 1.1 speed.

Sorry to break the bad news. Let me know if there are any more questions regarding this issue.

I have a cardbus card 2.0 and it's recognizing my ipod but not my

You might check with your manufacture and make sure it's 2.0, I known some PC's to come with 1.02 REV2.

Also the best way to check a USB if its working check the following pins on the USB and grab a DMM and measure them.

- From PIN 1 to PIN 4 should measure 5.0V if it's working correctly.

External hard disk and pcmcia cardbus

There may not be enough power from the cardbus to run it. That bus is very low current to power it up so you will need the power cord.

Try reinstalled the card drivers.
