I use a wireless service and the icon for the e-net management contiues to flash internet connected/internet disconnected. I cannot keep a connectin to the internet once it has been obtained due to the system first allowing connectin and then later terminating the connection. It is very frustrating.

I found the disconnect to the e-net mngt system, turned the system off at the lower right icon feature settings. I then uninstalled the wireless system and re-installed it. It works perfectly now. Thanks

I can not connect to my wirless local net work on my acer laptop what can I do to fix the problem? ( I was have a problem with avg free and it wasnt allowing anything to work on IE8 so i unistalled avg...

This should be a simple fix, do the following below.
1) Go to start, run, cmd, OK
2) After Cmd opens type this:-
netsh winsock reset catalog
--press enter

3) and again after pressing enter

netsh intip reset reset.log

4) Reboot

You should now be able to access the internet and your router etc.
After doing this go through and set up a new network, WiFi connection, using the icon, in the system toolbar, bottom right, click on the ICON, Right click, and select "Connect to wireless network" Select your network, if asked supply the WEP/WAP Key, password, and login, now you should be able to access the internet, through the router.
Also on laptop, in fact ALL "Clients" ie: Anyone who connects to the router. MUST have a Computer Name, a Windows login password, have sharing enabled, They also must have DHCP & Zero Configuration disabled in services. go, START>>RUN>>services.msc (enter), when the services window comes up, scroll down to DHCP, and turn OFF, set to Disabled, on start up, then, scroll down to Zero Configuration, and stop that and disable from starting too. Now reboot.

I bought acer one mini laptop if i have to connect wirless internet what i have to do do give me the step by step instruction how wirless internet works [email protected]

How you connect depends on where you are connecting to.
If you want to connect to your existing internet at you house you will need to purchase a wireless router and connect your dsl or cable modem to your router. You will then have a wireless connection in your home.
If you are talking about connecting to a public wifi connection (like at Starbucks) you will have to be within range to get a signal. If you are at your friends house and they have an existing wireless connection that is secured you will need the access key.

Once you are ready to connect you will need to decide how you want to manage your wireless connection. Usually your wireless cards include software to manage your connection. If you do not have the software or you do not like the software Windows can manage your connection for you. To enable this service you will need to open control panel and then open administrative tools open services and scroll all the way to the bottom and click on wireless zero configeration change startup type to automatic. This shoulbe the only time you have to manually configure this service.
After you choose which program to use for your wireless connection open it and you will see available wireless connections click connect on your desired connection and you should be on.

I have a wireless internet card on my laptop, its a Belkin card. My internet connection was working great a couple days ago but now I can't even get the belkin program to come up on my computer so that I...

Go into Network connections in control panel and right click on the wireless network icon, then click on properties. In here change the settings so that Windows manages your wirless settings rather than the Belkin software, I find this normally works a lot better and more reliable. You should then be able to double click the wireless icon (Not the Belkin Icon) in the bottom corner of your screen and connect to your wireless network.

Wireless Problem

Kanasai, sounds like the wirless adaptor is turned off, normally this is the result of the power settings sutting it down on batteries to conserve power. you should have a FN key combination to turn it back on , for example on my ASUS its the "FN" key and the "F2" key at the same time.
Basicly you can check the device manager to see if the wireless adaptor is enabled. then look at what software manages the wirless connection

D-Link router wont let me go onto the net with the wirless router

At the bottom right hand corner of your screen, you have a wireless connection icon. right click and view available wireless network...if you see your network there. connect to that network, if secured, then call d-link to verfiy what is your network key. if it is unsecure then you can log on right away.

if that wont allow you to connect then upgrade firmware of router.
