The fresh food compartment is cooled by air being blown from the freezer compartment into the fresh food compartment. Something is restricting that air flow which causes your fresh food compartment to stay warm.

There is a panel, or door if you will, that separates the freezer and fresh food compartments. The freezer temp control determines how much cold air is allowed to escape into the fresh food compartment by opening or closing this panel.

If the panel is restricted from moving (stuck closed, for example), the freezer will get VERY cold while the fresh food compartment will be warm.

Try thoroughly defrosting the refrigerator. Possibly an accumulation of ice is preventing the panel from moving and/or is restricting air flow from the freezer to the fresh food compartment. It's a free fix and may solve your problem altogether.

If that doesn't help, or helps only temporarily, you may have a problem with panel itself or the linkage that connects it to the control mechanism. Unless you're skilled in appliance repair, checking and repairing these components will require the help of a service technician

Hope this was helpful. Good Luck.

Our sub-zero refrigerator has not been cooling properly and mold builds up near the bottom

My Sub Zero 561 would lose cooling in the main fridge area over time and I would usually turn the thermostat down. This helped but I'd get an ice buildup on the back wall of the fridge, especially if it was packed full of stuff and didn't allow for air movement. I finally removed everything, removed the back panel to the fridge, and discovered that the entire rear area was a solid block of ice. A defrost fixed it but I had to turn up the thermostat to keep it from coming back. Now it works great after driving me crazy for years.

Our fridge temperature control is not working. its always high and all the things we keep inside gets spoiled like leaves and vegetables. pls help

Please get the thermostat switch/temperature control switch replaced by a Samsung technician. Also check the cooling gas. If it is less then no proper cooling will be done. This could be the possible cause.

Hi,

It may be leaking but I think more likely is that you have a problem with the defrost system and it is not defrosting properly... that can give the same symptoms as a low charge or leak condition...

Sub Zero 561 Refrigerator side is not cooling." the freezer side is working perfect.."

pop the top panel and clean your condenser, this is the most common problem, other than that it could be your compressor or refrigerant leak.this model i believe is two separate systems so one will not effect the other/. good luck!

If it were not a Sub Zero i would say its time for new. It sounds like it needs a service call and shot of gas and all will be well for many more years.

Sub-Zero 561

You are number 3 in the series this AM-
As you probably know, the recommended temperature range is between 35-45 F so if you control will not allow you to set this, the sensor or associated regulator has failed.

This seems to be a problem with your brand; I'd check to see if there is a recall or factory 'fix' for this. They may have gotten a batch of defective sensors or controllers.
