I called the dealership to see if my warrenty covered it and they said no because it is a wear and tear issue. my car is only 2 years old. Now I am stuck looking for a new visor.
Toyota vehicles, that are under the 3 year/36,000 mile window, have the visors covered under wattanty. They are NOT 'wear and tear' items. Brakes and clutches are 'wear and tear' items. 3

I have never had that issue in 50 years of doing brake work
You were given the dealership Dog & Pony Show as always
When you get a new vehicle the brakes are assembled dry at the factory & rust on the train or car carrier
Like other vehicle parts they have to come apart, rust removed & lube applied to all sliding surfaces & done at least once a year on all vehicles
The same thing for spark plugs & trans fluid
30 days after you get it, you pull the plugs to gap them & put anti-seize on them & change trans fluid to remove the normal wear of bushings & debris you get when new
Unless they had your expressed permition to tear the vihicle apart then they are in the wrong. Your garage went off the asumption that the warrenty would cover repairs so they tour it down, they are wrong thedy should have got approval to do repairs before they tour it apart. I would pay the diagnosing fee thats it and they should put it back together at no cost, you should get it back the way you gave it to them. Dont wait to long on this they can inforce a mechanics leene on the repairs and sell the car to compensate for the 375.00. You may want to contact a lawyer or get someone to explain to them they have no right to charge for work not done.
if land rover says its bad, believe it, they will show the insurance company (x warranty adjuster) why its bad and your repair will be covered. range rover and land rover techs are some of the best in the industry and wont steer you wrong.GOOD LUCK PS cool car!!
Not to burst your bubble but this happened three times on my focus. The dealership is your best option and yes, I had to have it towed there. You can try calling the ford customer service line and explain your problem nicely. This is a common problem for the focus and they may extend the warrenty coverage( they did it for me)...you will have to pay 50 to 100 dollars but it beats tearing into the steering column only to find out that you will need to have it towed to the dealership anyways. Been there, done that, wont do it again.
If it smokes for a few seconds when you first start it, it is likely the valve guides. Older camry's are notorious for leaking guides. I wouldn't worry about it unless it really bothers you as it is likely a costly repair.
VERY, VERY INTERESTING! IM HAVING SOME SERIOUS ISSUES WITH MY 08 RIDGELINE, THAT THE DEALERS ARE TELLING ME ARE NORMAL! MY 4 WHEEL DRIVE LOCK SWITCH DOES NOT WORK NOR DOES THE INDICATOR LIGHT, AND I HAVE NO FLOOR HEAT AND MY FEET FREEZE! BUT ITS NORMAL! I WONDER WHO WE CAN CONTACT DIRECTLY FROM HONDA! NOT THAT THIS WOULD DO ANY GOOD, LIKE YOU SAID THEY PROABBALY ARE AWARE OF THESE PROBLEMS! PRETTY DAM DISGUSTING AINT IT! MINE ONLY HAS 7000 MILES ON IT BOUGHT BRAND NEW IN MAY! I AM SERIOUSLY PISSED!
well i hate to tell ya this, but regular wear and tear of your vehicle isn't ever covered, its known that if you rub on some thing enough it will wear out. leather seats will crack when cold, they don't tell you to not sit down if your seats are cold, they don't tell you not to stab your seat with a knife, but that will ruin it. i'm not trying to be a **** but it happens. you can try to clean it though with leather conditioners, and cleaners, and you can try to put some thing over it to keep this from getting worse, other than that all I can tell you is to try to keep your arm off of this panel.
