The fuse blew on the Motor Control. I replaced it and it blew again, then I unplugged the motor and replaced the fuse and it did not blow. Could that mean the motor is bad?

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} It certainly sounds as though it is motor related. First check the carbon brushes if they are worn down replace them. Then the commutators on the armature (The little copper segments that the brushes rub on as the motor turns) if one of these have lifted or become dislodged you will need a new motor. It could also be wiring related so check all the wires and make sure they are sound and not shorting out on anything. As the fuse has blown twice check all the tracks on the module and timer to be sure they are still OK. If you have a Megger then do a resistance test to be sure there are no other short circuits in the system. Really any electrical testing should be done with a test meter such as a Megger, although for continuity testing a multi meter is fine. If you have never done any testing with a meter use this link to show you how

Did you dryer tech use a Megger or a High Voltage tester to check for leakage to earth or neutral on the machine ?

Normal Ohms meters are a waste of time in this situation
