I purchased a DSC-T3 last year , and all of a sudden the screen went blank and the object (image) could not be displayed on the screen, although I could view all the previous images. It appears that it is a problem either with the lens on the circuit which links the lens with the screen. Also I have noticed that after this incident my camera is becoming exceptionally hot

Yes , this is very common with T3 : it is caused by faulty CCD sensor ( see enclosed pic of a sensor and lens assy . ) and this needs replacing . Good news is that Sony will repair free of charge.

I contacted Sony over phone who directed me to their two service center in PANAJI GOA & MARGAO GOA. When I went to MARGAO at NISHANT ENTERPRISES the rudely refused to honor the replacement policy and literally threw me out. But when I went the other center in Panjim Goa ie Hi-Tech Electronics They repaired my camera free of Cost also Sony's online service helped me to get it repaired. These cameras were bought in UK and repaired in India
