have you seen any dirty white foregin item inside the printer,you can also see CR motor upper side of ink westpad.

Note: CDR (CD/DVD) guide assembly is not close properly will also occurs error or blinking the paper indicator and ink indicator.
For easy to me to understand.Please check the light indicator, either blinking simultaneously?

If blink is alternative, jast download service tool for epson e 230 and follow the given instruction that are inside the file web address:tricks-collections.com/resetter-epson-stylus-photo-r220-and-r230/
if blink same time: it,s a fatal error. it could be something wrong with the carrage or board or encoder belt

2 red lights are blinking!!!!!

is both the light blink the same time or blink alternate ? if blink the same time, it's probably a fatal error..
if blink alternately then the waste ink counter need to be reset and the waste ink pad need to be replaced.

Your printer has reach its maximum count of cleaning and printing. This need to be reset using epson adjustment program. But before resetting make sure that you have replace the waste pad inside your printer or it is much better to point outside the hose where the waste ink goes out.

google ssc service utility - your printer has reached its end of service life and needs to be reset - download the utility and reset the printer.

You need to reset waste ink counter. Use SSC Utility or R230 Adjusment program. Find at indoreset.blogspot.com. Don't forget to replace waste ink pad, or just extend outlet pipe of head cleaning mech to outside bottle.
