One of the knobs broke on the front of my frigidaire Model FSG748GFS0. It is the knob that starts the dryer. Where can I buy a new knob?

Yes this can be place but you have to replace the whole switch they are not very expensive but the knob can cost as much as 14.00 dollars.

The start switch will need to be replaced. The control panel will need to be removed to replace the switch.

Check the Yellow Pages for a repair shop. Make sure you have model number and serial number BEFORE you contact them.

From doing my research this dryer has a "turn to start switch." I don't want to sound wrong or demeaning here but, are you trying to "turn" or "push" the switch via the knob to start the unit?

You can use the knob to turn the washer to the correct cycle, and then use a pair of long nose pliers to gently pull the center hub out to start the washer. This is of course only a work around. I'll post more if I figure out how to fix this as well.

Just get the model number of your machine and buy a new one, you cannot fix it by trying to assemble again, spring had pressure, it may hurt you if you try to fix it, It is much advisableto replace it with new one

have you been able to turn it with some pliers try it and then just get a replacement of ebay
