Epson dx 7400. please help. we have a paper jam but cant find how to open or where to open the printer

Turn off the printer and then open the scanner unit. Cancel the print job.

Get an HP printer, I had Epson and had a printer jam and it was always screwing up. After about 2 years it will break! Believe me. You might be the exception but 9 times out of 10 its garbage.

Follow these steps to print a nozzle check:

Turn off the Epson Stylus dX.
Disconnect any connected USB cables.
Load letter-size paper in the sheet feeder

Hold down the Stop button as you press the On button to turn the Epson Stylus CX back on. Hold down both buttons until the On light begins to flash, then release the buttons.Tell me the result-->Nozzle check pattern with no gaps or with gaps?

All the drivers/software related to your printer can be downloaded online by going to below mentioned link:

On the bottom left page just choose the OS you use and strt the download.

i had the same problem i solved this by sticking plain whitecopier paper to the direction strip with double sided sticky tape printed asultra gloss photopaper

I'm sorry you have received no response on this , it's probably because you have posted it in the C86 printer group rather than the DX7400 group. I presume you have now solved this problem. If not, please re-open it (in the DX7400 group) for help.

Epson CX 7400 WONT LOAD PAPER

I had the same problem. If you call Epson, they will send you another printer out. I did this, and they didn't even ask me to send the old one back. You do have to have the serial number handy though. My suggestion is to call Epson.
