HP officejet 4300 all-in-one-series will not install

I have the exact same problem with the PDL_common mising data which I´m asked for during iinstallation process, as described by sbelli6997.

In that case heaps2 suggestet deleting the printer in the printer and fax directory , but I don´t even have something in that directory to begi with

( trying to reinstall the printer software after complete deletion of it, because printer ceased to react to the print orders)

Already did this, but it was no use,I guess my operating system is broken, either that or my cpu and adjacent mainbord are fried, so I guess I´ll wipe the mainframe clean and start off with a new operating system and if that failes I´ll replace the machine. Because there seems to be no other solution.

Please delete all left over files and registry from the system.

You can use tool to do this, PCDOCPRO, or CCleaner are the best one for this purpose.

I want to install my HP Officejets 4300 series to my newly bought netbook. Since, it is a netbook there are no disc player to install my HP Office so i want to download it thru internet.

I'nm trying to install an HP Officejet 4300 driver

Remove your previous installation of that printer. Delete the printer icon in the Printer's folder if there exists.
Reinstall the printer. During installation, choose Custom Install if there is an option like that.
Then choose to install ONLY the printer DRIVERS and do not install the HP Software bundled with the printer. The HP Imaging software conflicts with screen resolution of some devices. Give it a try and see if you can use your printer installed that way.

Office jet 4315v All-in-one says it has no scanning options.

If this is your product. HP states that thsi 4300 series does not support VISTA.
