Can't get the tv set to video input mode

I don't have the original remote, just an RCA universal remote which does not have a "mode" button. When I push the menu button on the TV I can scroll through several options, like "alarm", "color tint", and "cable/air", but no option dealing with input mode.
Does that model of tv even have a video input mode? If so how can I set it without the original remote?

You may be able to press the channel down button, past channel 1 to the av inputs.
It works on some tvs, but not all.

How do you switch to video mode with no remote

hi,
you cant.
your going to have to get a mid priced universal with extended features. read the packaging. thrift stores sometimes have a bag wall with old remotes so if you have someone who goes to the thrift store sometimes tell them to start looking for either a vcr or tv remote that says emerson on it for you. directv and dish network universals have video input buttons, if you have eith of those providers go to their website, download or find the chapter where it shows how to set up your viseo input. it is shut off by default..

Universal remote works for basics but won't change input

Rich,

good day , what button can you see infront of your TV screen?

Not familiar with this model but if you'll manage to locate a button marked as "TV/AV" or "AV" press this button until it the display switch to A/V mode (audio/video). Or if this is a really old model, from Tuner mode or channel model. set the channel station to 1 then press the " - channel " button and see if it will change from tuner mode to A/V mode

cheers,

Sanyo stuck on video mode

Yippie, I figured out a solution that worked!!! I have a univeral remote from comcast, on that remote near the bottom left is a small button that says (input) tv/vcr, press that one time and whala!! the tv video screen was gone, I had to manually change the channel from the tv channel button on the unit. once I changed the channel to 3, my universal remote worked... the button is the second one from the bottom left... I was on hold with sanyo for a long time and just kept trying on my own, so good luck!!!!

I don/t have remote control

If there is no button on the TV to go to the video channel or channel 3/4, you'll have to buy a universal remote.

using the menu button on the t.v. set an alarm for 1 min in the future. have the t.v change to channel 00 or the input channel @ that time. turn off the t.v and wait until the alarm turns the t.v on.

No Video

From the manual (search Google for CM27101S): Normally, your TV displays the signal coming through the antenna terminal. However, If you?ve connected another component to your TV(such as a VCR) using the Video/Audio input, you will want to be able to view the signal from the component. To do this, you will need to switch from the ? TV ? input to the ? Line1, Line2 ? Input, as follows: 1 With the TV on, press the MENU button twice, then ? Set-Up ? menu will appear. 2 Use the WCHVbuttons to select ? Input ?. 3 Press the CVOLB buttons to change from ? TV ? to ? Line1, Line 2 ?. 4 Wait 10 seconds, or press the MENU button to return to normal TV viewing.
