Assuming I have all this straight, I have the same model with a plastic interior. There is a little upside down cup looking device up front on the far left. Apparently if you tap on it, it helps. Ok, I banged on it a bit and went beyond the tap GE recommends. It just worked with mine, thank GOD! It's the day before Thanksgiving, need one that works.

Symptoms:
>Motor is running
>not fill with water
Causes:
>machine "thinks" it is already filled with water because motor is running

Sol'n:
>manually fill with water to proper level and close door...re-fill as needed...until machine commences next phase
...if no machine shows no new actions after above has fulfilled, then the main controller circuit is somehow bad
...if machine does advance to next step, then you have a faulty signal from water level switch...could be bad switch or wiring to it.

SOURCE: I installed according to guide, but dishwasher

you state the water supply is on.
Have you loosened the compression nut at the dishwasher ell to see if you have pressure to the water inlet to the dishwasher?
Remember the dishwasher will always run a little to make sure any residual water from the last load is out of the bottom, so you could here the pump run a minute or so with no water coming in.
If you have Pressure to the water inlet and no water coming in regardless of the cycle/ timer position, it is most likely a bad electrical connection or switch at the water pressure actuator which is were the compression drop ell connects to the dishwasher.
This is the one and only actuator to let the water in to the dishwasher.
So it could be one of or combination of five things: no pressure to actuator, the electrical connection the actuator is loose or bad, the actual actuator is bad or timer timer is bad.
Most likely it is a loose electrical connection or lack of pressure to the actuator

SOURCE: Dishwasher will not fill with water

Bosch D/w Have a float switchin the base pan of the unit you can access by removing the toe kick, if there is water in this base pan it turns the drain pump on and will not do anything else. So until the water is removed either vacume it out , or let it evaporate or however the unit will only drain

Calypso will not advance past wash cycle. I have a Calypso GVW9959K washer that displays no error codes and will run all functions in test mode. Problem is - it will run forever in the wash mode (clock...

If the machine is filling and washing but not advancing then the timer mechanism is not fuctioning. There is no codes so all other parts must be working, likke the pressure switch. You might test the door or lid switch this can sometimes hang these up. to test simply jump across the switch with a jumper wire. Basically
  • If the washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer does not advance, the timer probably needs to be replaced
  • If the timer does not advance while the washer is in a spin cycle, the timer probably needs to be replaced
  • I am supplying the service manual for this machine. Please be careful when attempting any repair and always make sure the machine is unplugged before starting any repair. This manual include service guides for testing components as well if your capable of these tests. The link will lead you to the manual. These manuals are not easy to come by due to the fact they are meant for service personell who make a living on these so it is inclusive and should help you in you issue.

Washer will fill spin and drain but will not wash

    Hi,
    • first check the motor power supply whether it is fine or not
    • next check the motor coil whether it is working or not
    • If both are ok the motor power supply and coil is fine means you are suppose to check the pressure starter since it is giving the signal to the wash motor to run
    • kindly change the pressure starter to solve your problem

    Lf code on whirlpool cabro

The LF code indicates the washer has taken longer than 8 minutes to fill and as a result has not satisfied the pressure switch that the machine is filled with the required amount of water. This may result from having a low water supply pressure, which can happen if you have a bath, sink taps or hose running while trying to use the machine. This condition can also result if the drain hose is too far into the stand pipe or runs down hill into a floor drain and effectively siphons out water from the machine. Check the drain hose and correct it if either of these are happening otherwise check to see if you really do get enough water flow and pressure on the cold, and if you have a dual fill machine, the hot water supply. It is also worth checking to see if the filter screen at the end of the supply hose is clogged or scaled up in which case you should clean it or descaler it as appropriate.
