This might be a normal noise. when they switched to 134a refrigerant, they had to develop a new oil. This new oil comes over or circulates more easily then the old oil. The oil and refrigerant flow through a capillary tube under 180 psi to the evaporator where it expands. the noises from this process can sound like tapping, chirping, clicking, squealing or wheezing. A hot day, a dirty condenser or when the unit comes out of defrost will make the noises more noticeable.
