Just bought a new Motorola Krzr K1 and was experiencing blank screens or white screens. The battery is fully charged. Now the screen is totally blank and will not come back on. The keypad does light up. I have tried taking the battery out and putting it back in to no avail. Any suggestions?

Found the solution to the white screen! it's the flip sensor.. what you have to do is open the phone hard and fast... make it so when you flip it open, the sensor knows when to turn the screen on and off.. this may take up to 5 or more times.. jus keep opening it hard and it will eventually work!!!
IT is the flip sensor...... buddy up top says to open your phone hard... etc... NO. However this MAY infact work... this will only make things worse itlr !! (you are only stressing out the little ribbon wire between the handset and the screen.)

you can achieve the same outcome by turning your phone on and holding the screen half way open (it is touchy - watch your screen and you will c it come on, open it to soon and it will turn white again. What is happening than is the screen has made its connection with the handset... but be carfull opening and closing ... BE GENTLE!!!!!! lol. cheers.

to really fix this, you will need parts. (lol good luck finding them)OH and BTW... dont trust the scoundrles that warranty phones, they are payed to not help you as much as they can & thus come up with whatever they can to stump you to buy a new one. ;)
I JUST FIXED MINE!!! really kinda easy. simply take battery out, take out the 4 torx screws ( I used a sharp pointy tip knife ), pop out the back plate, unsnap the rest of the bottom. On the inside top corner you will see a really thin wire that runs to the top face plate. that is where the problem is. carefully blow any dust and debri away. good luck.
KRZR's are JUNK...The wire in the hinge has a problem, I've gone through 4 in under a year
I have the problem on my K1.
I Just close the lid, and it resets it'self.
Sometimes having a screen saver could solve the problem , because screen saver is not just for fun . that could also save your screen in the future .

Try to dial and kol emergency number 112, if there is an opereator that speaks? your phone program is ok, is that your lcd flex is damage just change your flex

formating your phone may fix the problem
Here’s how to hard reset or format your Nokia N70 mobile phone:
1) Switch off your phone
2) Press and hold these 3 keys together:
-green dial key
-the star key(*)
-the number 3 key (Ugh, I wish I had three hands…!!)
3) Power on the phone
Warning: Do not release the keys until you see a formatting screen and even after the phone has started. Wait until the initial sound starts to play and the hand animation is displayed.
Before formating make sure that your battery is fully charged. Copy all your important contacts, messages, calender, etc in your memory card and your phone should be fully charged

Its Been my experience with building these type of products that they dont think the end user wants to go in the devices but never the less A small jewelers screw driver or torx set from CVS a local home cheapo should do the trick be careful to life face plate so as not to put any under wiring its a pretty simple setup tho.

Got my Krzr in April. Already had to replace the battery since according to the Verizon store rep the battery was "swollen" but the warranty had expired. Since replacing the battery I keep getting a white screen and the phone locks up. Message keeps popping up saying I have a new picture message, but there really isn't one.
I haven't been able to use it much but even so the new battery keeps dying within hours.
I read on another website other people are having the same problem.
I hate this phone, thinking I'll just go back to my old phone.

My Krzr works completely fine except when i flip in open, the inside screen is completely white. Every few days the normal screen actually comes back up for like a half hour, but then all of a sudden it will go blank again for days. This phone seriously pisses me off.

my screen goes blank or white. So I disassemble the phone and found that the connection that runs through the hinge had a spilt through one of the layers. This is not from damage, its a defect. but how could you prove it?
