Run the handycam utility CD and install the HDD Handycam Utility driver/software. Then put the camera on the base, plug it into your computer via the usb cable. Turn the camera on. Wait 5 seconds, then hit the button on the base. You will here your computer recognize the driver and ask you what to do with it. Close that. Then open the HDD Handycam Utility probram. It will prompt you to import the video/camera files. You will find a delete option there, too.

Game installation problems

Maybe its because you don't have enough space. Free up some space before trying to install. Delete any old demos or video content. Also, delete any temporary game data using the Utilities from the game menu (be sure not to delete savedata unless you do not need it).

Video memory full on camcord, how to burn it onto a dvd?

First be sure to have installed ImageMixer software that came with the camera. If you can't find the disc go here... http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=DCRSR40&LOC=3 then select your operating system and then select imagemixer to download.

Step 1:
Place camera onto docking station, connect usb cable to computer, open camera door, turn on camera. Imagemixer should open automatically, if not open up imagemixer.

Transfer to Computer:
Select "Viewing and Editing", then select "handycam" tap, click on "▼" (arrow) facing down, then click "movies". Place a check mark on each movie you wish to move to the computer then click "Options" tab (lower left corner) and see where the movies will end up once you click "Import to computer".

Burn to DVD:
Be sure you have a DVD drive that can write to DVD's. Will have DVD R/RW on the face of the drive. Place a blank DVD into drive. Follow Step 1. Then click "One Touch DVD Burn" from the imagemixer menu. Follow any instructions on screen.

Or you can choose to use Windows Explorer and select the drive letter that is your camera's harddrive and move/copy/cut/paste files directly from this location to another.

Panasonic VDR-D250 - I want to transfer the video taken on the 4" disc to usable DVD probably via pc - help please

Pinnacle Studio will work with your camcorder. You can either plug the camcorder into the computer and capture the video to your hard drive or you can import the DVD into the hard drive.

Looks like Imagemixer isn't available anymore according to a Google search.

Uploading video from sony dcr-dvd201

That's one of the inherent disadvantages of using a direct-to-DVD Camcorder.
2 solutions that immediately come to mind are
1. Export the unedited video from imagemixer or whichever proprietary software you're currently using. This is done in the same manner you'd otherwise output video to digital files. Chances are, it'll be under File>Export. Output the video as a quicktime, MPEG, AVI, WMV, or other widely accessible video file system, and it should be easily opened in other software.
2. Use a DVD ripping program, such as Free DVD ripper from GoBuySoftware (http://www.gobuysoftware.com/Free-DVD-Ripper.html) for PC or Mac the Ripper for OS X (http://www.mactheripper.org/), both free, to export to an exchangeable format.
I hope this does the trick! If not, please let me know what specific gear you're using :)
