I have an Emprex MP507, a generic mp3 player, when I sync music onto it using my computer, it shows in the mp3 players folder, but when I remove the player and turn it on, it doesn't show any files. What do I do? My Emprex MP507 MP3 shows songs that I have loaded, but cannot find them to play.I tried holding the mode button - nothing.
I have recently had the same problem. Does anyone have a link or website to the driver which will reset the firmware?

I had the same problem. So I tried to reset its firmware but in the process of the reseting my computer became busy. So i ended the program. From that day my MP507 is of no use. My computer do not even detect it. Do anyone know its solution. If yes please post it to [email protected] . I would be greatful if someone do it.

Hi - I have the same problem. The tech support folks at Exmprex say you need to reset the firmware with a utility called fwisp.exe - which is on the CD that came with the player - except there was no CD. I've asked them if they can provide a downloadable version. Email [email protected] with your device details and see what you get.
Good luck!

SOURCE: mp3 player has no music
The player has a Recorder Mode and an MP3 mode. The player defaults to recorder mode for some reason, this is probably why you cannot see the songs. To switch to MP3 mode you have to hold down the MODE button for more than 2 seconds. Then you should be able to see the songs.
