Some gensets have a reverse generator that actualy rotates the motor until running then switches back and produces power. But the starter could be in the front of the engine looking like a altrnator or some such device. good luck..

On 2006 Suzuki aerio I put new battery in and lost all powers , have I blown a fuze?

Recheck both terminal connections...be sure black cable (ground) to black terminal on battery, red cable (positive) to red positive terminal on battery. If connections are clean and tight, you should be able to generate the motor/starter turning over, and all lights work...If you still do not have any power, the posts (dirty) or new battery is defective...(a broken terminal inside?

Where can i find the starter on a nissan frontier 2004

The starter on the Nissan Frontier is a motor that is connected to the battery that runs the ignition process of the truck. When you turn the key to start the truck, this will send an electrical signal to the starter motor that turns the flywheel. The flywheel in turns moves the crankshaft. When the starter goes bad or teeth on the starter gear get chipped this will prevent the truck from starting. Locating the starter is the first step in replacing it.
  • Open the hood to access the engine compartment. Locate the battery to the passenger side of the engine compartment.
  • Identify the positive terminal of the battery. This will be indicated by the (+) symbol above the terminal.
  • Trace the red cable that is attached to the positive terminal. The cable will run from the battery down to the side of the motor.
  • Locate the end of the red cable as it is attached to the starter. The starter will be attached to a bracket by the motor with the back of the starter connected to the bell housing of the transmission.
  • Remove the front passenger side tire for easier access to the starter. This will also give you plenty of room to remove the starter.
I hope this helps.

Good luck.

Need help finding fuseible link that goes to starter

CHARGING SYSTEM
The charging system is an integral part of the battery and starter systems. Since all of these systems work together, any diagnosis and testing should be done in conjunction.

The charging system is protected by a 12 gauge fusible link located in the A11 circuit. This fusible link is between the generator and the starter.

The generator ground is provided through a case ground in the generator to its attaching bracket. This generator uses a voltage regulator internal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

When the vehicle is running, battery voltage is applied to the generator field terminal through the A142 circuit. This circuit is the output from the contact side of the Automatic Shut Down (ASD) relay. The ground, or voltage regulated side, of the generator field is controlled by the K20 circuit which connects to cavity 4 of the PCM connector.

When there is current present in the field, and the rotor is turning, the stator in the generator produces a B+ voltage that is supplied to the battery through the A11 and A0 circuits. The A11 circuit is connected to the output terminal of the generator and connects to the engine starter motor battery feed terminal. The A0 circuit is a direct feed line from the battery and connects to the engine starter motor.

Grounding for the system is accomplished at the battery negative terminal. These grounds connect to the engine and body.

HELPFUL INFORMATION
Inspect for a blown fusible link in the A11 circuit between the generator and the starter motor.

other Fusible link goes from the starter to the alternator. Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.
