Hi i have an acer aspire one....i want to play movie through TV

install VLC MEDIA PLAYER. goto www.ninite.com then check vlc. Then click install. after it installs try to play in using vlc. let me know. good luck.

a vga cable- like you use for compute monitors. vga is your only video out on your laptop. most hdtvs have vga input.

give more info about this laptop, e.g. win version,current sound player,etc.

if your acer aspire has a TV out port then you just need to connect a cable from that to your TV, that is if your TV has an input port as well...

you might have to download the media player to your computer to play movies. i reccommend the latest Windows Media Player.

sure you have blue ray?

Okay, when you did that, you were using your computer in a mode that allowed for two screens. That is usually a display option in control panel. If you just look around, you should find this setting.

What software are you using to copy the dvds?

Usually when you insert the DVD you should get an autoplay menu that asks which program you want to use to play the DVD (such media player etc)
Acer usually has a bundled software that allows you to watch DVD movies it could be called WinDVD ,PowerDVD choose that program to play the film.

movie buffering is normal for internet movie players,most are fast acting and powerful too.buffer to 100% then they will stream well.
More RAM will help the functions along faster but the softwares drive the devices output signals thru to the media side,
Update the devices drivers too
You problem may be the software or the file format of the movie
ie CD,DVD,AVI,DIVX,XVID.....and so on

There are lots of formats for media available so check the machines player type,Windows Media Player or Arcade

also the type of disk format will effect to out come too,
ie,wrong disk no work
